Tue, January 20, 2009 - 2:42 PMWestwood sucked then. It was good in the late 60's early 70's- when they had good felafels and you could run into Chuck Barris. -

Tue, January 20, 2009 - 5:41 PMAhw,sorry,I wasn't around these parts but here...something to enjoy(I did have to google Barris)
www.youtube.com/watch
For those defunct,as i was,
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_Barris
P.S. besides the art-fair i do remember attending some movie-premieres.One of which was with for "Polyester"(scratch and sniff boards were handed out)Divine (defunct)and John Waters sitting behind me.
Again,as they say,the memories may be rosier than the reality was.Good times. -

Re: Westwood arts and craft fair ?
Tue, January 20, 2009 - 11:36 PMI remember the scratch & sniff cards- there was one that gave me an instant sledgehammer migraine, both times I saw the movie, I think it was #6 (might have been a gas oven? Not the obvious #2). You'll note that I knew it gave me a bad reaction and went back for another helping the next time! -

Re: Westwood arts and craft fair ?
Wed, January 21, 2009 - 1:10 PMlol....i saved that card for years!
How about Miss Edie doing the Miss Edie-contest in a theatre on Lincoln in Venice.(i think it's a furniture store now or carpet,a universal sign of progress)...arriving with a blonde Elvis 1/2 her age(in his 40's) in a white limo? The only contestant i remember was in a wooden barrel, naked .She did perform"Get of the grass punks" and loved the applause.
I guess that was as close to a"Baltimore stomper" as i'll ever get to be.
Wow,how de-funkt that all is.I still haven't made it to Baltimore... -
